Ravings of a lunatic newbie

Post by Politronics » Sun Dec 28, 2008 11:39 am

Good morning.

So, I am sure all of you will be yawning when you read this, but I had to post this anyway.

After years of feeling like crap, my doctor recommended a sleep study and it was determined that I have severe sleep apnea. This past week I went and got a CPAP machine and have been using it for the last 5 days. It hasn't been THAT bad, although I do wake up several times a night due to the "equipment." In the mornings I have been feeling OK, finally being able to take deep relaxed breaths again, with afternoon chest pains that subside with simple OTC pain killers.

Well, this morning I woke up and thought, OH MY GOD, I'm frickin' exhausted!

Then, I realized, I wasn't exhausted at all. I was RELAXED. I was like a rag doll. Every muscle in my body was at rest. I don't ever remember having that feeling. I laid there for like 20 minutes and was just amazed how good it felt.

Then I got up, hit the treadmill for 40 minutes and here I am.

I can only hope it continues to get better! This was so great!

JP,

Glad you are feeling so good! Any tricks of the trade you can share? I am having a lot of trouble. Gas, waking up in the middle of the night with really bad anxiety, etc.

Congratulations and welcome to "the land of the living".

For some, it takes much longer than five days (nights).

Best wishes.

Oh it si going to take longer then 5 days! I still feel weird in the mornings, still have some discomfort during the day, as well as some anxiety, chest pain, lightheadedness, etc. But it is a little better every day.

I have no tips, other then just keep using it. It will take time.

Really good to hear Polit! Nice end to 2008 and a great start to 2009
Yes, some of the results are subtle, some are dramatic. They all weave your health to a higher level. I've been using my system since June of this year.
Apart from the miracle of finding out I had this damnable situation and began the process of getting better, the most cherished find was this site!
You hang in there, it just gets better
