Activa mask troubles

Post by track » Sat Dec 27, 2008 7:31 am

I recently purchased a new activa nasal mask. I tried it out yesterday straight out of the box and it worked fine. However before going to bed I took it apart and cleaned it good. When I went to put it on it sounded like a hurricane. I spent 30 minutes by the bedside trying to figure out why it was the air was blowing so hard and loud out of the exhaust holes. There were no obvious other leaks and everything appeared to be put back in the proper position. It's as though the air is blowing out at a 25 pressure when in fact it's 8. Anybody run across this before and have any suggestions on what might be wrong?

Check the cushion is fitted properly. Remove cushion and check that the coloured triangular frame is properly seated in the slots in the cushion, before refitting cushion to mask. Its easy to leave one corner of the frame behind the slot rather than in the slot.
