New User - Teeth Grinding

Post by goodfellatuddy » Mon Dec 22, 2008 8:04 am

Hi all

I'm in the 2nd week of usage and finally am having nights without mask leakage. What I've noticed the last few mornings is that my bottom front teeth are "sore" in the morning like i've been grinding my teeth or gritting my teeth. I've never done that before (to my knowledge). Anyone else experience this?

Hello & Welcome, goodfellatuddy! Glad you found this forum--SO much useful info and SO many helpful people here!

My wife had issues with teeth grinding, not related to sleep apnea or CPAP, though. She had to get a device from her dentist to prevent this.

That's interesting. I have been wearing a night guard for many years because of grinding. Ever since I started using the cpap, I notice some mornings that my jaw is not aligned so that one of my bottom front tooth is pressed against the guard, which makes it a bit sore.

Not sure if maybe the headgear is causing this to happen?
