Best Mask for Resmed S8 Vantage EPR Auto CPAP Machine?

Post by dgillette » Sat Dec 20, 2008 7:59 am

Hello,

Please refer to my equipment below. I recently purchased the Resmed S8 Vantage EPR Auto CPAP Machine and I notice that cpap.com warns "You should be aware that some interface devices with narrow tubes, such as the Nasal Aire or the Breeze with Nasal Pillows, may have an impact on the ability of this and other auto CPAPs to accurately respond to airflow restrictions during use".

Does anyone know if the mask/headgear I'm using (nasal pillows version) can be used with the machine I just purchased, or should I use a different headgear/mask? Note that I've tried several different types of headgear/masks and the one I'm using now seems to work the best for me since I'm a side-sleeper.

I have the same machine, and I've tried at least a dozen masks, including the one you have. I never experienced any problems. Just be sure to change the mask setting to "standard". The only other mask settings available on the machine are Resmed mask settings.
