Oracle 452 mask

Post by yellowrose » Fri Dec 19, 2008 10:15 am

So I have been trying the oracle 452 mask the last 2 nights and it seems to be a pretty good mask for me. I bought it without the insurance because the insurance was almost as much as the mask which I thought was weird until I realized that most people don't like it and it probably has a high return rate. It is still taking me over an hour to fall asleep and I still take the mask off about 2am but hopefully that will get better. It absolutely does not leak...I just can't get over that. With the other masks I spent the first 2 hours dealing with leaks everywhere now I just deal with excessive saliva but who knows maybe that will get better. I love how there is minimal hardware on my face especially on the forehead. Last night I even wore the mask with out the strap around my head and it was great. I can sleep on my side and bury my face in my pillow. There is not tons of air blowing out the vents and it is so quiet. The nose plugs seem to work alright although they are a tad uncomfortable but I could always use tape over my nose instead if I wanted to. I have my humidifier set to 4. We'll see how things continue but the few negatives of the mask I can deal with far better than all the other masks I have tried. Now if I could just fall asleep quickly and stay asleep.
