Encore Viewer help

Post by Crest » Mon Dec 15, 2008 10:17 pm

Hello,

Re: Resperonics M series

Just read a friend of mines card (he's been feeling tired lately)and found an oddity that I wonder if any one can help with.

From 5/1/08 to 8/29/08 everything looks and records fine, from 8/30 to today, every is printed in black. The "pattern of use" goes from daily green to daily black (but you can see how long he slept), the "long term trend" stops recording info as of 8/30.

Any thoughts as to to the problem ?

Marty

I don't know because I don't have Viewer and i have not had anyone post or tell me of anything like this. I do know that with Encore Pro if the data is not correct (large leaks, etc.) it data turns black. I can't imagine this would be it for so long a period.

Like elader said I would try reformatting the card and see if it corrects the problem.

It could indicate a problem with the machine. Has he ever gotten water inside it? I did that once (oops!), and I had black bars until the pressure and flow sensors dried out enough to start working again. (They don't work if they get plugged up with water.) If you can't find an obvious problem (like a significant leak somewhere ... maybe the humidifier isn't sealing or the hose is cracked), he may need to get his machine repaired or replaced.

Someone sent me their Encore Pro (not Encore Viewer) report not long ago. They had not downloaded it themselves. Their DME had requested the card for the DME to do a download. The second download, actually, that the DME had done for them. The DME printed out the report...three months worth of data gathering. All the "compliance" columns were black. Not a single green column. And no "Daily Details" at all.

The person sent that to me and asked what I thought. I said it looked like machine had been turned on every night but no person had used it. They sent me the first download the DME had done long before that one. Every night during their first month or two had a green column, with normal sleeping times of 7 or 8 hours each night, so it was obvious that person really did use the machine faithfully right from the beginning.

The person asked the DME "why the black columns this time?" DME said the card module in the machine must have gone bad. They're going to replace the module. I don't know if the DME is correct, but sounds plausible.
