My "smart card" stopped working

Post by Twilightcat » Thu Dec 11, 2008 9:31 am

Hello All,
Would someone please answer a question about my Respironics smart card?
For over a year I have been monitoring my therapy successfully, but this week suddenly, when I click "copy smart card data", a rectangular box pops up saying, "The smart card does not contain any therapy data." This has been happening each day since Sunday, and Sunday is the last day highlighted on the little Encore Viewer calendar.

Has anyone else experienced this? Do I need to buy a new smart card?

Thank you,
Twilightcat

Perhaps it might work to erase the Smartcard. There is a Smartcard utility at http://www.mycpap.org - the "Smartcard Toolkit". I sounds like the card reader is reading the card without error but the CPAP machine may not be writing. Card could be borderline condition.

Hi Mindy, I tried to read that link, but wasn't allowed, without paying $29. Do you know how to erase data on a card?

Thanks,
Twilightcat

I just tried the link provided by Mindy and it works just fine for me. Did you click on the link in her message? Just download the utility and save it and then install it.

I just downloaded it again, this time I installed it even. Link works fine, and the download is still free. Jim
