Gel Sprays?

Post by john_dozer » Tue Nov 25, 2008 5:43 am

I have a miserable cold or sinus infection. Usually the nasal membrane area is swollen and dripping. I have a little of that. But with this I'm particularly sore and swollen in the area that connects the nasal membrane area to the back of the throat. It actually feels dry.

When I'm on CPAP it gets even more dry, inflamed and swollen. Four of the past 5 nights, I had to quit CPAP after about and hour and half. Last night I couldn't even start with it.

I've been able to shake the apnea symptoms in the morning after a few hours, but it won't be much longer before things get really bad again I suspect.

Will those Gel Sprays get back to the area I describe to lubricate them?
Is there stuff in them that will be like pouring salt on an open wound and I might regret trying this?
Can I get this kind of stuff at the local pharmacy?
