United Healthcare's In-network DMEs in Orange County, CA

Post by DnF » Sat Nov 08, 2008 8:11 pm

Hi,

Has anyone had any experience with any of the following DMEs?

Basically, this is a list of in-network DMEs generated through MyUHC.com and compared with the Local Services on this site. The only two exceptions are indicated by (**) as I am not sure if they provide CPAP service.

Also, is there any concern with providing information (i.e. sleep study report, prescription, and insurance) to the DMEs before they are able to tell me the cost?

Thanks,

No experience with those on your list. I also looked in MyUHC and had a difficult time with their categories. I found some under hospitals, medical labs, etc. Also, the national chains aren't always listed correctly.

I visited their websites, then called some to get a feel for them. The one I have now I dropped in on to check out their customer service. The bottom line is to interview them and take notes. Of course getting feedback is great also. Not just their website but google their base name. When I googled Apria, I quickly crossed them off the list based on others experiences.

It's going to be okay in the end; if it's not okay, it's not the end.

Thanks OldLincoln! Would you mind letting me know which DME you picked? Is this the same one that provided the machine and mask in your signature? They are very similar to what I am planning to get. Thanks again.
