Clinicians Manual for S8 Elite II

Post by StevenJ » Wed Oct 22, 2008 8:11 pm

Hi gang. I've been on the hose about a month now and seem to be adjusting pretty well. I just received software and card reader so I can take a more active role in my health care. The only thing I'm still missing is the clinicians manual. Maybe I don't really need it, but being a techie by nature I tend to want the manuals for everything I own. I've searched this board for about an hour and have been unsuccessful finding a link or a way to get the manual. Anyone here know where I can find a copy?

Thanks,
Steve

I thought I had read awhile back that the ResMed manuals were on CDs now......because somebody's DME had forgot to remove it from the box.
However, for just getting into the machine's configuration, the following should work.

Den

While pressing the Down arrow button, press and hold down the right hand button. Hold both buttons down together for several seconds.

That brings up the "Welcome" clinical menu.

Use the up/down button to navigate to the settings menu.

Use the left button to "Change" settings. A "Change" will not be saved until you hit the left key again under the word "Apply".

It's safe to walk through the changes just to see what they would be. When looking at a "Change" setting, the up/down arrow buttons will scroll through the possible changes of that setting. As long as you don't press the left button under the word "Apply", no change will actually happen. If you want to back out of the "Change" without changing the setting, press the righthand button under the word "Exit."

Use the right button under the word "Exit" to go backwards from whatever menu section you're in. Hit "Exit" several times to exit your way backwards completely out of the clinical menu.

Thanks, Den. I think I'm probably good for now. I received a card reader and software today but am on the road this week and haven't had a chance to open the package yet. Maybe it contains all the information I need to get up and running with the data downloads. That's my first priority for now, to see where I am with leaks and etc. I feel like I have a new hobby. . .

Not just a hobby ... being alive again can actually be addictive.
President-pretender, J. Biden, said "the DNC has built the largest voter fraud organization in US history". Too bad they didn’t build the smartest voter fraud organization and got caught.

That may have been me -- when the DME-R/T visited, he took a CD-ROM out of the box I had. I asked him what it was, and he said it was for Clinicians, and "do you want it?" I said yes.

when I looked on the CD, I found it had PDF files of the manuals in the box, and it also had a copy of the Clinician's manual. The manual itself isn't too exciting. It basically just describes the Clinician's menu, without going into very much detail.

However -- this is for the AutoSet II (not the Elite II) -- I have no idea if the manuals are similar or not.

I've been sending the manual to whomever sends me their private email address via PM -- the offer is still open.

Hi!
I just got Resmed Autoset Spirit II and trying to figure out how daily/weekly/monthly/year results data is stored/erased in display view.
Lets say I sleep one night and woke up three times. Everytime i stop the machine. Does daily results include then only the last third period results, or
Is it combined of all three periods?
Is it displaying only last session results between start and stop, then erased in next time use ?

I find out that display-data was erased at noon.

Does weekly results display-data show up after 1 week usage? When this data expires? ..etc ???

Does the manual give the answers?.. I'll send PM to you GuyK

Thanks!

Sorry about missleading topic S8 Elite "Jump". This was closest old topic about getting manuals.

I am on that same machine, where do you get the software and card reader? What information does the software provide you with. I was told there wasnt any software for home management. Please let me know as I am interested in knowing if it is working. I have only been on it for two days so it would be a good time to check things out and know what is going on.

The Resmeds report everything from noon to noon w/up to 5 interruptions - or is it 4 interruptions being 5 "sleeps"??

Sleep - Interrupt - Sleep - Interrupt - Sleep - Interrupt - Sleep - Interrupt - eh, it looks like the most I've ever done is 4 in a night since xPAP.

Thanks! That was very good answer !
I dont have software/reader, so it's great news that interrupts doesn't affect daily results.
