I've just returned from a visit to my daughter, who has a tiny apartment where guests sleep on her sofa. I wanted to secure the hose near my pillow as I do at home to avoid rainout, but did not want to stick pins in her brand-new leather sofa. My daughter thought for a minute, then stuffed a tea towel between the sofa cushions so I could pin the scrunchie that holds the hose to the tea towel.
I'm a proud and well-rested Mom. Also cannot resist adding that my daughter is working on her PhD in biomedical engineering and she knows a tremendous lot about expensive high-tech solutions. It's nice to know that simple and effective solutions are still part of the mix.

For future reference this works well. Just clip it to the top of the pillow.

I use one when I travel and it works fine for me. Good to have around for those of us whose children don't think quite so fast on their feet.

I recently bought the Travel Hose Buddy on cpap.com and love it. It is handy and I anticipate it will travel well. Maybe you'd like it too. I can see where it would work on sofas as well as beds as long as there is a cushion to put it under.
