ResScan 3.5 Results Questions

Post by Herman » Sun Sep 28, 2008 1:56 pm

I have a Resmed S8 Autoset II, with ResScan 3.5 software. On any given night I have 15 indicators of apnea with a red bar and a number above the bar, generally in the 10-24 range. what does the number indicate? I also have 25-30 blue squares indicating hypopnea each night in addition to the red bars. My AHI last night was 5.0, HI 3.0 and AI 2.0. Percentage of time in apnea is 0.7. Median pressure was 9.8, 95percentile was 10.4 and max was 10.6. I was hoping to insert an image of the graph, but couldn't.

I've been on a CPAP since 2001 and an APAP for only a couple of weeks. Still having problems with leaks and can't seem to manage that very well even with the collection of masks I've purchased on my own. Leak last night was 7.2, 95 percentile was 15.6 and maximum was 22.8

The red arrow indicates the length of time of the apneic event? I'm confused.....I thought the arrow was an indication of the amount of pressure it took to break through the event. I have apneic arrows on top of each other marked 11 and 15 and there's only a 5 second difference in the time block.

Check that number against your maximum reported pressure.

Yes, this is exactly what it indicates.

Cheers,

Just for reference's sake:

The numbers indicate the duration of the apnea event in seconds.

How did you obtain ResScan Version 3.3 Software?

I obtained my copy & the card reader here:

http://www.thecpapshop.com/cpap-software/31068.html

I would have gladly purchased it from our host... but last I checked they were still only selling the 3.3 version

...and the responses in this thread answered one of my own newbie questions about ResScan results reporting.
