An interesting new twist

Post by JeffH » Fri Sep 26, 2008 12:03 pm

in my on going issue with eye problems and cpap.

Decided to order these eye goggles for sleeping. So far, I've slept thru the night ever since I started using them. Only down side is after sleeping seven hours thru I wake up to take a bathroom break and can't get back to sleep so I go ahead and get up. Would like to sleep a little longer, but I'm really glad I'm sleeping thru the night. This hasn't happened in the several years I've been on cpap....hell, it may have never happened in my life!

Here's what I bought. Tranquileyes goggles.

I don't think "interesting new twists" are legal in Oklahoma....

No wonder you had to buy them off the internet.

Oh eye goggles. I see, said the blind girl....

I currently have a stash of Nasal Aire II cannulas in Small or Extra Small. Please PM me if you would like them. I'm interested in bartering for something strange and wonderful that I don't currently own. Or a Large size NAII cannula. :)

When I was a young'un I stayed in "interesting new twist" land. It was easier to get that stuff than something to drink. Those SE Oklahoma hills grew tons of the stuff...LOL.

Oh that is hilarious.... I asked my Mom, the Native Okie, the other morning if she ever smoked pot. She said "Oh no, honey! That stuff was for the poor people who couldn't afford booze!" In this very smarmy way. Implying she could afford booze, no doubt.

Rick Steves started it. He had this interview on PBS the other night where he explained why he was pro-pot. I sorta liked him better for it. He usually comes off sort of holier-than-thou in his radio interviews. I like him on TV, but he can be snippy on the call-in shows. I guess I know why, now...

LOL,
Babs - who swears that's oregano in her spice jar and is sticking to that story

Great big four finger bags a full ounce were $10. All you wanted all day long. In High School if I was awake I was high.

And you wonder why I'm a dead head...LOL

Smoking pot leads to Sleep Apnea.

You read it here first, folks.

Then it's a wonder I don't have it worse than I do...

Neat idea. I was thinking of doing something like that as I was really getting tired of the goopy eyes in the morning from the air blowing in my eyes.

Even though my FP432 seal and cushion were replaced two months ago, I could not get it to seal anymore and my numbers started to regularly exceed 5. I went back to the old cushion and no more eye air (much less is probably more honest) and the numbers fell back into the 2-4 AHI range with a nice flat leak profile. It is always something with CPAP. Just when you think you have it licked, it has a new trick up its sleeve to teach you otherwise.

JeffH,

Do the goggles keep out light too, or are they more just for keeping in moisture?

Those look interesting. I bought a regular eye mask to try, but couldn't get it to work with my SA mask. It covers too much of the face and I couldn't see to put my SA mask on. I don't think I need the goggles you got, but I would like something. Any suggestions?
