And I think to myself...... What a Wonderful World
Re: PAD A CHEEK Swift LT Reviews Here
Thank you Karen, I have been very anxious to post my review on this great product!
I found that they are very easy to attach (after I finally realized the difference between my left and my right ! ) The tool that Karen includes with the PAC is a wonderful help.
The only thing that I feel that needs to be changed is the length.
Openings on each end needs to extend about a half of an inch longer to cover a little more of the hard part on the end of the mask strap, and at the wide end (near back of head) to keep it from splitting the seam. During removal or attaching it seems like it wants to start to ravel the seam a little on both ends.
First night: Was extremely comfortable and soft, allowed me to loosen my straps even a
little more, absolutely NO strap marks at all on my face-even the side I sleep on,
8th night: I have slept using the Swift LT with Karen's PACs on it for 8 nights, which is the first time that I have done this since I got it. Usually two nights is all that I could tolerate it, before the Pad A Cheeks were on it.
Biggest Plus was that it covered the area of strap that always cut into the top of my ear and hurt (the main reason I had quit wearing the LT), I think a lot of other people who posted had this same problem. The PAC for the LT solved this problem for me.
I only had strap marks on my left cheek one night, from having my face buried in the pillow, the other nights- no marks. Also, it did not try to slip upward or downward. Stayed in place as it is supposed to do.
I am wondering if it would work on the Opus as well. In another poster’s words, "Opus leaves wicked strap marks"
The LT is by far more comfortable for me with the strap pads from Karen.
Thank you Karen, you have done a beautiful job designing and creating this Pad A Cheek. And thank you so much for allowing me to be able to get in on this trial for the Pad a Cheek for the LT. I really do appreciate it. To anyone who has problems tolerating the straps ( or Bridle,as I refer to it) Pad A Cheeks for the Swift LT is highly recommended. They are great!

Re: PAD A CHEEK Swift LT Reviews Here
Bottom Line up Front (BLUF) Another great Pad A Cheek Product from Karen! This is a must own item for anyone who gets strap marks or just wants to make a comfortable mask better.
The Pad a Cheek for the Swift LT arrived nicely packaged with the covers, a handy tool and well written instructions with pictures for us guys. Using the tool (provided) they go on easily and stay in place which was a concern I had with the Swift LT shape.
No strap marks! Prior to the Pad A Cheek the only area I had marks was from was where the Swift LT bumped up in the cheek area to stabilize the mask, I have not had this problem since adding the covers.
The material is soft against the skin and it does not get caught on “end of day” whisker stubble. This is a well made high quality product down to the stitching. My only suggestion and it may not be possible to do, would be to stitch the openings making it less likely to bunch up the liner when attaching or removing installing and give it a more finished appearance.
Karen, thank you for letting me test this product, great design, easy to use and high quality. Well done, I highly recommended this item to all Swift LT users

Re: PAD A CHEEK Swift LT Reviews Here
It works wonderful for not causing marks on my face. I love that. However, I'm still having problems wearing my Swift LT regularly because I don't feel as comfortable with it. That is not an issue caused by Pad-A-Cheeks. It's just me and my comfort level. I'm going to try it a few more times and will post more specific information about the Pad-A-Cheeks.
Thanks Karen!!
Thanks Karen!!
Re: PAD A CHEEK Swift LT Reviews Here
I used my Swift LT for the past 2 nights with the new padacheeks on it. I forgot how comfortable it really is with them on. I especially like the covering of the little circular thing near the nasal pillows which causes most of the marks on my face. The sizing of the padacheek is great.
I took them off once to clean them and had to use the u-shaped wire to put it back on. That is kind of a pain, plus I had to remember how to actually do it. I had the instructions, but I had an extremely "out of it" day, and I wasn't up to reading instructions or looking at pictures. I wondered why velcro wasn't used to attach them? The wire makes it easier, but it still take me quite a bit of time to get the padacheeks on.
Once on, it has made my mask really comfortable. The Swift LT is extremely light, and the padacheeks don't cause any bulkiness or extra weight.

Re: PAD A CHEEK Swift LT Reviews )from JayC
Very easy installation. I received two instruction sheets, with photos and text. I was able to clearly see what I needed do. (I liked that I received both versions of instructions. I had a better view of steps with the light fabric on dark background.
The enclosed tool used to "thread" the mask straps through the inner layer of the PAD A CHEEK was a welcome surprise. Fast and easy....
comfort/decrease of lines: surpassed my expectations. I was line-free, *AND* comfortable. Additionally, the PAD A CHEEK fabric was more gentle on my sensitive skin, I noticed a decrease to zero of some contact irritation (like acne) I have gotten from my headgear without the PAD A CHEEK. Since starting this product trial, I have had no contact irritation.
The placement of the seams/stitching on the PAD A CHEEK ensured that I didn't get red/rub marks from the PAD. I like the double layering.....although the instructions should mention that the headgear straps are threaded through the very center. I almost misthreaded even though I knew better.
effect it may have on the stability of the interface: PAD A CHEEK served to further stabilize the headgear.
I side and front sleep, so I ask a lot of my Swift LT. I have achieved some stability from headbands for my hair which reduced sliding. With the addition of PAD A CHEEK, stability improved more.
In disassembling headgear to install PAD A CHEEK, I "lost" my "magic fit", so to speak. Since stability is greater with PAD A CHEEK, my magic fit needed to be adjusted anyway. I am still fine-tuning my fit. I am going through a little slump, where my leaks are higher and wildly fluctuating.
***NONE OF THIS is due to the PAD A CHEEK.**** Although, the physical comfort from the PAD A CHEEK is likely why I am not bursting into tears when I wake up.
I have not washed PAD A CHEEK yet. I do not anticipate any fraying or bunching or shrinking, based on my considerable fabric/laundry experience <wink>. I know any such problems would be addressed by Karen if a problem occurred.
I highly recommend PAD A CHEEK for anyone looking for better comfort, reduced slipping, reduced lines....... Well designed, well constructed, well explained.
I dare say Linus in the "Peanuts" comic strip would have had his security blanket made into a PAD A CHEEK if he had to go on the hose!!
Karen, Thank you for letting me participate. If/when I change masks, finding compatible PAD A CHEEKS will be very high on my treatment "to do" list.
Warm regards,
JayC

Re: PAD A CHEEK Swift LT Reviews Here
Thank you VERY MUCH.
This Concludes the Trial for the PAD A CHEEK Swift LT. I thank you all for your help in this trial. I appreciate each suggestion for improvement to this product and I am implementing changes to make this the easy to use, and helpful product for the Swift LT interface.
I was pleasantly surprised by the stability that it provided to the interface. I never know for sure how the trials will turn out, but I am open to your great suggestions. Your input is priceless, and your honesty is so appreciated.
It continues to be my pleasure to help people with sleep apnea sleep more comfortably. Thank you for your support.
