OT: GOOD LUCK TEXANS!

Post by Babette » Fri Sep 12, 2008 10:01 am

Hey, I know we're all thinking and praying for Johnny and the gang at CPAP.com, as well as 6ptStar, DreamStalker, and all the other Texans on this board.

Good luck and check in with your status after the storm and let us know how you are!!!

Roberto and Jerry, you know you two can bug out to Tacoma and stay with me, right? Oh, okay, you can bring the wives too...

Seriously though, I hope you're gonna be okay and we'll all be worrying until we hear from you after the storm.

Giant Cyber Hugs,
Barbara

Sounds like Johnnie and the crew need to be putting machines on high shelves! GF's brother lives in Baytown, TX. right at the end of the bay and isn't leaving. I think he is being really DUMB. This one looks bad for the Houston area.

I am about 100 miles North of Houston and the projection is for the eye to cross directly overhead and still get 75/80 MPH winds and 6 to 8 inches of rain. I have a feeling I am going to get to see if my emergency power is going to work. All batteries on charge at this time. Threw a rope over the house in hopes to keep the roof on!!

I, too, "have people" in Ike's way, including the folks here on the forum. Hang in there and let us know how you are when you can.

Don't forget your FEMA Golden Ticket!!!!

You might post an image of it here... I can't do that from work. I know, not really a priority, but I couldn't resist.

GOOD LUCK BUDDY!!!!! Stay alive! Just stay alive! I will find you! Oh wait, that's "Last of the Mohicans"....

Huggers,
B.

Anybody here have the ability to post an MP3? I think Marc Broussard's "Home" might be appropriate right about now... The version on "Carencro" is better than the live version on "Straight from the Water" but the entire "Straight from the Water" album would also be appropriate.

Sigh.... I just hate sitting here watching the Weather Channel and worrying about all my peeps...

The sorta good news is I have a dear friend in Texas who works for their emergency management agency. Bob will find you. Just stay alive. He WILL find you. Reenactors never leave a man or woman behind. And we know how to survive without electricity. And we're willing to eat anything found dead on the highway.... Hmmm.... Maybe that's not such a comforting thought....

Hugs and prayers,
B.

HA HA!!! Good for you!!!! Now you know where to find a back-up copy after the storm!

Lessee.... I can send you some old clothes I've outgrown (you cross dress, right?) , some blankies, a leather shooting pouch I never use, and an old Remstar Plus that has "issues." Oh, and some misc. NAII parts.

You'll be all set!!!
