Canadians: Where do you order a spo7500 from in US?

I just cancelled my spo7500 with software because of the cost of shipping being 98.00.

I just emailed the worldwidesurgical company in Brooklyn NY to ask them to remove the custom charge from my credit card and just charge me shipping of not more than 20.00 max since it is such a small parcel and I am having another parcel shipped from the states which is much bigger and heavier for only 17.00.

They emailed back saying that that is what their shipping company DHL charges for shipping to Canada. Earlier they were saying that the 98.00 was for both customs and shipping.

They asked me if I want to accept the 98.00 shipping charge or cancel order. I cancelled the order.

What US companies sell the spo7500 and software that ship via Canada post and will label product medical equipment? Waiting to hear from other Canadians in regards to this before I order from another company.

Hawthorne, I cancelled the other order rather than pay another 98.00 which they are now saying is just shipping. At first they were saying it was for both customs and shipping.

I contacted nonin regarding the nVision software whether it was visa compatible. They emailed me back saying that they were expecting the Vista version to be ready sometime in October. I am going to email them back to find out when vitabase software that comes with the spo7500 will be Vista compatible, which it isn't at present. The nVision software is soooo expensive. I think the vitabase is good enough.

This is causing me to think I should hold off on the software part at least because I have Vista and not XP. Also, xp will be difficult to get in future, so unless they make a patch update version the software will be useless and a waste of money.

I will let you know if they are going to update the software VitaBase that comes with the spo7500 right after I hear from them. It may take a couple days or so.

Anne, have you thought of looking on ebay? Here is a company that lists on ebay and ships to Canada: http://stores.ebay.com/Allergy-Be-Gone

They have the SPO 7500 listed. I think I would write to them to make sure they include the cable and software (their description leaves something to be desired) and to inquire on the shipping costs.

Try "Turner Medical"......That's where I purchased mine....nice people.

Or, you might contact the factory in Israel and ask for their suggestion.

Turner Medical does not say anything about out of country shipping at all. The do say "free shipping". That will only be to US addresses. They mention a UPS tracking number. With UPS being a courier, there will be a brokerage fee to Canada.

Anne, I bought SPO 7500 with soft 3 months ago from Protherapy for a price of 499 $ + 31 $ for insured shipping to Italy with UPS ( very low price!! ); moreover them can lower the cost of the unit and mark it as gift to reduce your duty taxes.
You can send an e-mail to their Custumer service ( attention Mr. Tony - very kind person!! ) and ask shipping costs; unit cost in Canadian Dollars is : CAD 529.8382(approx.)
