REVIEW...Pad A Cheek for Swift LT

I received my trial Pad A Cheeks on Saturday. I came home late Saturday night, got my mail and just wanted to go to bed. Even though I love the LT I didn't like the strap marks. I decided another night and another morning waking up with them was not an option no matter how tired I was. The detailed instructions, with actual pictures, not drawings, made putting them on very easy. A wire "tool" was included to help pull the straps onto the pads. The fit was great and the quality of the fabric and workmanship is excellent. Upon waking the first thing I did was check for marks, none . I've used the Pad A Cheeks for both my former Swift and Swift II and would not be without them. They laundered nice and after many washings still held there shape and comfort. I expect the same from this newest design. Pad A Cheeks are a quality product made by someone who knows and understands the needs of her customers.

I didn't pay for these, I was chosen to participate in this trial. I would have gladly and willingly ordered them from Karen had I not been chosen. For anyone suffering from marks or just looking for a more comfortable feeling against your face I would highly reccommend Pad A Cheek products. You'll get an excellent product making hosing up a little more pleasant.

I also received my trial Pad A Cheeks on Saturday. Thank you Karen for allowing me to be in your trial.
The Swift LT headgear always seemed to pull on the top of my ears and make the tops of my ears sore.
I would awake in the morning and sometime during the night with sore ears. This product completely eliminated
that problem. After 3 nights it's obvious his product does exactly as intended. It makes the Swift LT
perfectly comfortable to wear. The Pad A Cheek Swift LT is a Quality product. It's a welcome against your
face and ears instead of the headgear straps. I recommend this product to everyone with a Swift LT!

I used my Pad A Cheek for my Swift LT mask last night for the first time. At first, I struggled a little bit getting it on the straps, even with the pictures, because I'm spatially challenged. The first one went on wonky, then they second one went on perfectly and I saw what I had done wrong. Easy fix. Even with trouble, only took about 10 minutes.

I love how soft the fabric is and that it totally covers that plastic "spur" thingy that rests right on the cheekbone. I had no marks this morning at all. I think the Pad A Cheek might have helped keep my mask more secure. I don't know because I don't have a data capable cpap.

I didn't sleep through the night, but that was not the fault of the pads. I got my shots for my expedition, and I'm a side sleeper, so I kept turning on my side & hurting my arm, thus waking myself. NO issues with the mask last night. I'm loving the product so far.

I'm going to echo the good experience others have stated. My Swift LT Pad-A-Cheek covers arrived last Saturday and are a soft and lovely baby blue. I am a little instructionally challenged and fumbled a little with getting the first cover on. I found I did better by looking at the pictures rather than reading the directions and the installation of the second cover was very easy. Customizing these to perfectly fit the LT is an amazing piece of seamstress engineering.

When I let Karen know I wanted to participate in the trial, I had just begun using the LT and was not even aware that the "spur", as volcanomom calls it, was leaving marks on my face. I had not noticed because I am too bleery-eyed when I first get up and the marks disappeared fairly quickly. Also, the spur was somewhat uncomfortable when I lie on my side.

After four nights with the Pad-A-Cheek, I have had no morning marks, the spur is no longer uncomfortable, and I like the feel of the soft material on my cheek so much better than the mask straps.

I think this is another Pad-A-Cheek winner and I am grateful that Karen has worked so hard to make so many different covers and pads for straps and masks.

Thanks Karen for letting me try your pad a cheek for the Swift LT. I have been using it for five nights now and here is my review.

They are comfortable on the front of the face. Covering the cheek parts is a great idea. Easy to put on. Excellent instructions. Over all I like them.

I have one problem with them. I am one that was having ear pain with the nekked head gear. The part that goes over the lower strap could be 1/2" to 3/4" longer for me. I have found that it rides up the strap in the night and I am still getting some ear pain. I tried taping it down with medical tape, but that has come loose.

It think they will work for 95% of the people the way they are. A small percentage of us need a little longer cover on the bottom strap.

I got the padacheeks two days ago and used them the last night. They really took care of any strap marks and seemed to help stabilize the entire mask since it is worn rather loose. They are soft. Since the weather is cooler here right now, they did not seem too warm to wear.

I did not follow the directions on purpose. Lots of people never read them so I decided to see how easy they were to get on intuitively. And they were quite easy. I disconnected the pillow leaving just the frame and just slipped them on easily, then fed the strap that goes up through the openings for them. They were easy to get on and I did not have to use the enclosed metal thingy.

I'd like to see the edges of the strap opening finished off. Besides that, they are comfortable, light in weight, soft, protect from any strap mark and stabalize the mask a little more.

Since Karen provides a choice of 3-4 fabrics for her Pad a Cheeks, it would be helpful to know which one each of you is reviewing--especially regarding effectiveness of the thinner fabrics in eliminating facial imprints. Thanks

The material is a very light fleece. There is an inner sleeve lining of an even lighter non-fleece material.

I also got Pad A Cheek for the Swift LT last weekend and have used it all week. It took care of the strap/headgear marks I was having from the Swift LT headgear. Now I can use it all week instead of just on weekends like I was due to strap marks (I’m a side sleeper). This really makes a difference in my life, because my job involves dealing with the public and the strap marks could be deep and take a long time to go away. It also took care of the ear-irritation (earitation?) completely for me. This is where the straps rub my ears and make them sore. Using the Pad A Cheek did not seem to affect the stability of the headgear one way or the other for me.

Also, the fabric is very soft and fine. It is light and kind of cuddly, light blue like sleeping on a cloud. . . Most fleece fabric causes skin irritation for me, like when I wear polar fleece sweaters or scarves, even the softer ones make my neck itch, but this is just wonderful fabric with no problems at all (I have rosacea and get itchy from allergies). I find this amazing. I was thinking I might need to order a cotton covered one like I did in the past.

The strap cover fits well over the straps. I also liked the wire piece that you use to thread the straps through the cover. It makes it super easy to get the straps through the Pad A Cheek.

I found the instructions hard to follow. I tried to read the instructions and look at the photos and they confused me. I finally just figured it out on my own. I’m glad I did it one side at a time, since that helped me figure out how to re-attach the strap I was just finished with.
