I'm looking at purchasing a new Respironics M Series Auto A-Flex machine.
It looks like cpap.com is offering "EncoreViewer 1.0" bundled with this machine.
I called and they said it's all they offer. I have read about Encore Pro. They said it is old software and not sold.
Is the EncoreViewer 1.0 the right thing to get??
Thanks Again Much,
Georgio

Yes, that's the one to get. I have that machine and that software.
Encore Pro is no longer sold to patients. It is only available for "professionals" now.
Encore Viewer gives you the same data though. You just can't use 2 programs that forum members developed to go with Encore Pro. They don't work with Encore Viewer. Don't worry, you get lots of helpful data with Viewer!

If my doctor ordered Encore Pro, would he be able to buy it?

Re: Is Encoreviewer 1.0 the Right Software to get?
I just received my EncoreViewer and Card Reader about a ten days ago. I find it to be invaluable! I eagerly check my results each morning.
And, printed Data Reports for my Doctor. Dropped them off to the doctor's office, issues they'll let me know.
Now, I can correlate how I feel to the data results. Also, could see I need to start taping mouth shut. While sleeping of course
Noticed the other day that included with the EncoreViewer is a Analyzer. Started the Analyzer and it gave an error that it couldn't find the SQL Server.
So, when I find the time, I'll try to import the data into SQL Server, and see if the data can be examined in a more granular fashion. Maybe some insightful info will be had!
take care,
SG

Note the following instructions that may help those purchasing and installing Respironics Software for Windows XP from cpap.com:
1) Respironics "EncoreViewer Version 1.0"
2) Respironics "SmartCard Reader/Writer Version 2.0"
I installed the EncoreViewer first.
When you attempt to install the SmartCard Reader and insert the disk, I got the message "YOU NEED ENCORE PRO 2.5 AS A MIN. TO INSTALL THIS PROGRAM!!!"
To get around this apparent cpap.com/Respironics software installation glitch, I then connected the USB card reader first (against Resprionics warnings).
When Windows acknowledged a new device it asked for a disk and then I inserted it and I think the program installed.
I haven't downloaded any data yet so I will post if it works.

I had the same issue. I ended up calling CPAP.com and the support rep. said they only sell the product and don't provide support. He gave me the 800 number for Respironics. While I was on hold with Respironics support I read the little slip of paper that comes with the EncoreViewer software and it said the driver for the card reader is installed when you install EncoreViewer.
Seems to work well enough. Sometimes it doesn't download all of the data and I have to disconnect the card reader, restart EncoreViewer, reconnect the card reader and it will work. <shrug>
