I've had my swift LT for about a month. I have a bit of trouble with leakage, but found (after following advice from the forum) that I actually have less trouble when my straps are looser. If they are too tight, I have more leak issues. I haven't had the trouble of not being able to breath though. Are you on a ramp setting? Perhaps your ramp is starting out at too low a pressure.

i'll second what volcanomom says.
If it sits too tight it will leak. there's just supposed to be enough pressure that the outer pillows form a seal.

I also find that when i anchor the hose at the top of my head, the more play in it the better.

I had the same problem and I will second loosening the straps. Also, after fighting with it for about a week and feeling very frustrated, I discovered inside the pillow was an internal flap, cone thingy just like on the outside. I had them inside out and that was restricting the air flow. I have also noticed it being touchy. One thing I have discovered that seems to help me get the fit right in my nose is after I get it on I (and I know this will sound weird) give the whole thing a little wiggle in a circular motion just to get it to seat properly. It's strange but it seems to work.

I tried the Switf Lt and had the sensation that I could not breathe out. The outward flow was restricted. I sold my LT mask and now I am back to using the Swift II which has a larger vent area. Now, I can breathe out again!

Hi yake,

I've been using the Swift LT for 2 1/2 months now. I originally found the same problem as you.
I found that the Large allows for good airflow and is most comfortable, but gets leaks throughout the night over and over again.
On the other hand the medium restricts airflow making it not as comfortable since I feel I have to force air through it. But it gets no leaks at all.

So what I did was this:
I very carefully inverted the pillows and with a sharp blade I trimmed a very small amount of material around the internal air holes.
And also from the outer air holes. Just a tiny sliver. This allowed for much better air flow and maintained my good seal through the night. You must be very careful not to cut too much as the material cuts quite easily. If you do this and ruin it please don't blame me. I remember another person I on here saying that he used nail clippers to do his. But that did not work for me. What we really need is a size in between medium and large. a med-large.

Good luck
-Dennis

The airflow through the small is restricted too much for me but the seal is better. While the medium gets this annoying little leaks and the flow is fine. I was thinking of doing exactly what Dennis has done so I am glad it worked.
