PAP-Cap Chinstrap - Headgear Replacement Trial

This is a new trial for feedback on using the PAP-Cap Chinstrap as a replacement for mask headgear (in addition to the chinstrap function). If you haven't heard about the product, search the forum or visit the website in my signature.

Now that we've worked out some of the pattern/sizing issues, I'm turning attention to using the PAP-Cap to replace mask headgear altogether (by attaching the mask directly to the cap/chinstrap). There are several ways to accomplish the headgear function and the forum has been an invaluable source of information, tips, suggestions, etc. as I have been working on improving new products.

I would like to invite 10-15 people to participate.

Participants will receive a free PAP-Cap Chinstrap that has been slightly modified from the standard cap, some additional parts, and instructions. Participants will also be given a Questionnaire after about a week.

People who already have the PAP-Cap Chinstrap are very welcome to participate and will receive some additional parts in the mail (it will be necessary for you to be able to sew or at least use some fabric glue to try this out).

The trial is only for masks (full face and nasal) that use a standard four-point attachment design (forehead bridge / mount and cheek) (such as ComfortGel, Activa, Quattro, etc.). Other types of masks will require some additional specialized design that is not part of the current trial.

The PAP-Cap Chinstrap is a comfort product intended to help people with mouth leaking issues (which, incidentally, is pretty much everyone on nasal masks in my opinion). One of the outstanding features of the device is the ability to use the cap as a very stable and comfortable mounting platform for the mask so you can do away with the Neoprene Monster altogether. So instead of having mask headgear and chinstrap headgear, you have a comfortable cap with an effective and versatile chinstrap and no mask headgear. If you are not interested in or do not want or need a chinstrap, please do not ask to participate in this trial.

This is a very light product so shipping to Canada is not a big deal as has been the case with previous CPAP aromatherapy product trials. It may take several days to get the packages in the mail so please be patient! Contact me with any questions.

So far I have 11 participants (everyone who contacted me by email is "in"). I'd be glad to take the next four people who contact me via email. Just follow the instructions.

I've been very VERY happy to simultaneously solve mouthbreathing and discard my Neoprene headgear for the past few months and would love to be able to figure out how to share the experience with everyone else. It's definitely a comfort upgrade.
