Wake up during apnea?

Post by Unrested1 » Sun Aug 24, 2008 6:33 am

Seems I wake up suddenly (like 3a.m.). I'm not gasping for breath. Could I possibly be waking up during an apnea event? Last night numbers were leak 38, ahi 4.2, ai 0.3.

Thanks, Pat

Pat,

Yes it is true that apneas can wake you. I have found that using my software I was able to determine that the time when I wake
are usually time when I have just experiences a large group of apneas one after the other. It is why I have never been able to have a full night sleep in over 20 years. But just this week I started to be able to sleep through the night once again.

Pat, maybe you need another sleep study done to find out why you are waking up. You may be having other problems depending on your health situation, heart, circulation, etc. You may be rolling over into a position that makes your apnea even worse. It's a thought you know.
