Is it possible for me to find out my AHI scores on my M series Pro CPAP machine? I found out how to change the preessure if i want to, but I simply want to know what my AHI is each night. Thanks-you all have been a great help so far. FYI-My machine was set at 18 but when I started a week ago, but was lowered yesterday to 15 due to leakage when it would go above 16.

There's a setting in the Settings menu to allow the AHI & Leak information viewing on the LCD.
The LCD will only show the 7day & 30 day averages, not just the data from the previous night only. If you reset the display data as Den describes every day after writing it down, then when you get the data the next day it will only be for the previous night.Wulfman wrote:You have to enable the setting in the Setup menu. To get there.....
Hold down the <- -> buttons while plugging in the little power cord in the back, wait for 2 beeps release buttons. Then press the + key to enter setup mode, use the <- -> buttons to move to the next field, use the -/+ keys to decrease/increase values, when set press the On/Off button to exit Setup.
This is the setting you need to check and enable:
Show AHI/Leak=On
To clear the nightly data each morning (after reviewing/recording it)

To reset LCD Therapy data (does NOT erase any data from SmartCard):
1. Hold down the (<-) (->) buttons while plugging in the power on the back,
wait for 2 beeps or 5 seconds, release buttons.
2. Press the (->) key and navigate to Therapy screen.
3. Press and HOLD down the (-) minus key for 5 seconds and/or until therapy data is reset to Zero.
4. Press the (->) key to scroll back to main menu, press (+) key to enter Setup or
On/Off button to exit.

You can, but it much better and easyier to use the software and reader data, that way you can see the full results of your leaks. Treatment doesn't get good until your leaks are resolved. Jim

No reason for you to stay with a fixed pressure machine when your pressure is 15 or more.
Start complaining vociferously to your doctor, till he/she agrees to give you a bi-level machine that supplies different pressure for inhaling an for exhaling. Insurance will pay for that more expensive machine if you've tried, and not succeeded on a fixed pressure. If you need 18 on inhaling, a drop to overall 15 isn't going to help avoid apneas whe you inhale. On the other hand, if you can do with 18 on inhale, and much less on exhale e.g. 15 or less - you may find you sleep better, and possibly some leak problems solved as well.

Re: Can I find my AHI myself on my M series Pro?
thanks guys! That was a great help. My 7 day avg. was 3.3 and my 30 day (I have only had it 9 days) was 3.8. My leaks were around 25ish but I don't know what that means. We have two sleep Dr's here. One likes APAPs and the one i got insists on CPAPs. I may have to insist even harder than him, because my study showed that i was a 58 when on my side and 120 when on my back. It seems obvious to me that a single set pressure isn't right for me.
Re: Can I find my AHI myself on my M series Pro?
The second post on this thread had setup instructions. I have a slightly different model of machine (same manu.) and the setup came up for some values. I couldn't get into 'setup' as the post above describes. (When I did the above, instead of getting two beeps, I went into a setup where I could change some things (including the main setting) but could never get any further than that.
Does anyone have instructions for the Respironics M-Series 100M machine (I think this is the base machine)?
TIA

mfbower- I think your machine will only give you compliance data - no AHI or leak rate or anything else.

Hawthorne is correct. the M-series 100 doesn't have much in the way of features & will give you compliance data only. So, the setup menu should be pretty sparse. If you were able to change pressure of your machine up & down then you were in the right setup menu, just not much there.Hawthorne wrote:mfbower- I think your machine will only give you compliance data - no AHI or leak rate or anything else.

If you haven't had your machine very long & are still renting you might be able to trade it in for a data capable machine like the M-series Pro or better yet the M-series auto. But expect STRONG resistance. You will be cutting into the DME's profit. Most all of the people on this forum think that a data capable machine is essential.
