Post by TiredTex » Tue Aug 12, 2008 2:42 pm

I got a new Dr. & DME! New machine and new mask. It is a Mirage Swift LT Nasal Pillow System I love it. Has any one got one and what are your thoughts?

I love my Swift LT also. Previously used Swift II which was ok, but not as good as the LT.

I think most of the people on other threads like the LT, but there are definitely some that dont. Everyone's different.

Love it!

I've mastered the loose fit, and have managed to duplicate ZERO leaks for the last 5 days straight.

I'm a side and front sleeper....

Love the LT as well. Last night was my first zero leak experience. Have the Swift II as well and it pales in comparison for me....sits heavy on your upper lip and the pillows are not as soft as with the LT.

I have to agree with you there the swift II definately sits heavy on the nose area. When I can I'm gonna get the swift lt as soon as they allow me to exchange it. Dont' know why my dr didn't give me the machine he said he was or the mask....the two are totally different than I was told I'd get. Guess I will have to wait and talk to him and find out why he changed his mind on it.

Thanks a bunch

Did an hour with the Nasal Aire II last night (courtesy of Babette and Gray) before going with the LT for 7 hours. Looking forward to spending more time devoted to my Nasal Aire testdrive....love the LT and am thinking I may be able to bring the Nasal Aire into the rotation (also occasionally use the Quattro)

I wouldn't assume the Dr changed his mind unless you got the machine & mask directly from him. The DME could easily have given you different equipment to get more profit, or because that's what they had on hand. What machine & mask did you think you were getting?

I also had the Swift II It was the best I had tried at that time. After reading the post I am thinking that I have it to tight Some mornings my nose is sore (you guys are all talking about being lighter on the upper lip) I thought they were about the same

I had tried the swift when I first got diagnosed but it was so damn noisey I didn't last the night with it.

This new Swift - just got it yesterday on a money-back 30 day trial. It won't be going back. 0 leak and lowest AHI EVER. Really comfortable as well. I love this mask already. Much more freedom than the Activa.

I like mine.. the best I've used but I'm new to CPAP.. 2nd mask. I had the pillows come out one night when I was on my side but I think I had the straps too loose. I keep going back and forth between the small and medium pillows too. The medium ones seem like they leak too much.. but the small seems to get blocked or something sometimes and it's difficult to breath. I dunno. I don't think anything with CPAP is perfect.

There's a HUGE topic on this mask btw.. do a search.. lots of useful info in it..
