Alternative to expensive DME Resmed S8 Filters

Post by BrnEyez » Tue Aug 12, 2008 8:46 am

Has anyone found an alternative to the expensive Resmed S8 Vantage blue/white filters? My DME charges $35.00 for a filter....online they seem to run about $2.00 plus...(amazing the difference!). Any alternative out there? Make my own out of something? Find something at Home Depot and cut to size? Thank you in advance for you help and suggestions

You don't need a script to order the filters for the Resmed S8s online. Buy them online. Even w/shipping to pay you come out way ahead. Order 6 or so. You may find, if you check your filter once a month, that you may need to replace them more often than just once every six months.

We have dogs and cats and had a furnace add-on woodburner for 20 years so despite having our furnace ducts cleaned I still find that I need to change my filter more often than every six months. I check my filter ONCE A MONTH just in case.
