OFF TOPIC ~ Speedtraps

Post by SleepyNoMore » Thu Aug 07, 2008 7:54 pm

I recieved a very interesting email today, check out this website;

Speedtraps:

http//www.speedtrap.org/speedtraps/stetlist.asp .

When you get there, click on your State, then the next window is a listing of Cities in that State. Click on your City to see where Speed Traps are located...

I didn't realize that we could go to a site like this, I didn't even know they existed, it might save lots of us from getting tickets!! And, I hope it's legit, I haven't checked it out yet at http://www.snopes.com but i'm sure it's ok...

Hope this helps all of you!

Why would you want to avoid paying speeding tickets, and seat belt tickets, do you think they care about our well being. It's just another for of tax, local and state combined. Hidden under the cloak of protecting us from ourselves. Jim

I'm still here by the grace of God, good reflexes, and the fact that only the good die young. I've paid my share of fines (Taxes) and help some of the judges on the bench, retire fat. I'm a much safer driver at 70 plus MPH than 55 MPH, you have to add in the white knuckle factor, all the times I fell asleep driving I was going 55, just the speed to sleep.

You wouldn't think you could fall asleep driving a Coal Hauler at 33 MPH over rough roads with 900 HP roaring under you six feet away. You can!!! Lucky they were our roads, and no traffic. Jim

I hope you got a good retirement plan with my extra taxes, except for the Speed Traps I never take it personal, it's just part of getting by.

I got a very good retirement, unfortunately, IL does not benefit from any fine money, except, for overweight fines and that money went to "roads and bridges", if they did get any of the fine money I would have retired independently wealthy.

I have weighted a number of coal trucks on Rts 36 & 133 and most/all came out of IN., hmmmmm.

See the ':' after http - the link above is missing them. If you paste it into Google you can easily get to the right place.
