Got 2nd Sleep Study results
My results say I need BIPAP and 18/14. I'm still in shock over such high pressures not to mention the cost of equipment. Anyone have any recommedations on good (quiet) machines.

Hi karmich,
Check out the thread on talkabout sleep.com about Bipap vs Autopap. If your "events" are less frequent and you don't have any other conditions that require you to use a bipap an auto-pap may give you some relief from that high pressure and high cost. If you decide on a bi-pap I would look at the Puritan Bennett 425 coming out soon. I love my PB420E auto-pap and the new bi-pap hase the same great features. Quiet or seems to be very subjective on this forum. I think mine is very quiet, but there doesn't seem to be any concensus about what is quiet and what is not. Look around at cpap.com. They have alot of info and comparisons. Also you could call their question line and talk about it with the folks there - they we very helpfull to me.
Also respironics is coming out with an auto-pap with their c-flex feature that would give some pressure relief on exhale and the features of an auto-pap. Kind'a, sort'a the best of both worlds.
