1. I have the Resmed Autoset II with H3i humidifier. If there is water still in the water chamber, can I pull it out (up) without spilling water in the machine. Or do I have to pull the whole humidifer unit out. (The H3i humidifier is in two parts with the water chamber as the smaller part which just lifts up and out of the machine).
2. I'm not sure if I got the correct size mask. The seller of the wizard fit full face mask said that the bottom end of the mask is supposed to end at chin level. So I purchased the large size and it ends at my chin level. I think it may have been a mistake and he gave out wrong instructions. Isn't it supposed to end just under the lips (before the chin bone)?
3. My doctor gave me these settings on my prescription:-
Machine type: Autotritrating
Pressure settings: 6-16 cmH20
Ramp: 15 minutes from 6 cmH20
I used the exact same settings in my cpap machine.
I also put EPR at setting level 3
At pressure level 6, I feel like I'm not getting enough oxygen, but at level 6.5 it feels O.K. Should I start at level 6.5 instead?
4. When the machine is stopped, then restarted, it starts from the beginning again (with the pressures used at the beginning, in my case 6)
So what do you do if you have to go to the bathroom at night. How do you make the machine start at the level that it left off at? i.e. say it is on level 7 in pressure, how do you make it continue from there?
I have the Resmed Autoset II
5. The distilled water. Is the one purchased from the supermarket totally safe? I'm not sure because people buy it to use in the car batteries too, so would it be totally safe to breath the moisture from this? They don't put other additives in it, do they?
6. What about using a jug with filter (used to filter drinking water)? Would that be similar to distilled water?
7. I have spent a lot of money on my machine, so I don't want to damage it anytime soon. So I was wondering if using an oil column heater in my room which would make the machine warm. Would that be O.K. or should the machine be at a cool temperature always?
8. Is there an "on and off switch". Although I don't think so, as I can't see it. Can you turn it off from the menu switches? If so, which ones do you press together?
Good machine, although it would be better if it had a switch to turn it off.
