My titration study and SPO2

Post by Insomniyak » Thu Jul 03, 2008 3:14 pm

Just got my titration study back today and while I only have an AHI of 1 (and they were centrals), the mean SPO2 was still only 90%. I think it still should be a bit higher, but was wondering if I should be overly concerned.

AHI/SP02

Sp02 is usually a little higher, not as high as when you are awake, but 90% is not bad. 90-92% is common with elderly patients, as they won't be at 97-98% like someone who is in their 30's & 40's. That sounds pretty good, as long as you didn't have many drops in the 80's and below 85. That AHI is also good. Centrals are not good but if there is very few, then it's not anything major. CPAP does not treat centrals generally, VPAP would be the treatment for that.

For centrals being an issue it would have to be anything over 5 an hour is what I was told.

I was diagnosed with Severe centrals. About 74 an hour total with my OSA was 190. Just my AHI for SA was 116.4

But with just 1 and hour I think that is just normal.

Did they find anything else? RLS or anything that would cause them to do a sleep study.
