ultra mirage ffm and auto on

in my old s6 elite manual it says not to use the auto on with the ultra mirage ffm.
it does not say anything about this in the manual of my m series
any ideas why this would be?

It'll work (should) with the M Series. I don't know about the S6 machines, but in the S8 machines, there's a full face mask setting which basically disables the auto-on feature in the ResMed machines......maybe that's what it's referring to.

There is a valve on the UMFF that allows you to breath in case of a power outage. I found that no matter how hard I took that first breath, I couldn't get pass that valve to make AUTO ON work - unless I wrapped something around the valve so the cpap could recognise I was masked up. I always had to turn it on myself. This is probalby what your instructions are getting at.
