My first CPAP anniversary
My first CPAP anniversary
Today make 1 year on xPAP therapy for me.
I really do wish to thank the many members here who have helped me (directly and indirectly) since I began this little adventure.
Some of the benefits xPAP has given me include about 4 hours a day (time I would have spent sleeping), improved by attitude toward just about everything, and discontinuation of some of my medications.
Again, thanks to you all - I probably would have quit without this forum.
For you data nerds out there - annual summary at the following link:

Congratulations on your anniversary!!!
I, too, am greatful for this forum.
My son-in-law's mother was recently diagnosed and prescribed cpap. She is really struggling and hating every minute of it. I have told her about the forum and asked her questions to try to help. She doesn't even know what machine she has, mask (from description I think it might be a F & P 431), pressure, etc. She is totally clueless. AND she can't figure out why I am doing so well!!!
THIS FORUM ROCKS!!!!
Again, Congratulations on an important milestone!!

Wars arise from a failure to understand one another's humanness. Instead of summit meetings, why not have families meet for a picnic and get to know each other while the children play together?

Happy Anniversary Dave! Congratulations is definitely in order. And ditto to what everyone here has said. Without members like you and all the good people here, I would not have made it the last 9 months. This is a wonderful place to spend my time....

Congratulations RiverDave! That is so great!
I also, like you and some others, have been on xpap therapy a year. I also am so grateful for the caring, supportive folks on this wonderful forum, and to Cpap.com for creating it. Time spent here is so worthwhile and valuable.
I keep thinking, that without the advent of the internet and a forum such as this, it would have been lonesome and scary for a person dealing with sleep apnea therapy. Being quiet and shy, I probably never would have known of any other person with sleep apnea with whom to share ideas and understanding. This is a Godsend, providing such a warm feeling of connection with others.
Thank you so much everyone,
Twilightcat
