Will Encore Pro Version 1.6i software work with Windows Vista?

I got it to work, but I had to do some digging to get the database set up correctly. I had to go into the setup of the database and make some changes to the settings. Can't remember exactly what I changed, but I can look when I get home.

Resprionics originally said it took 1.8i for Vista. raymart43 is the first I have seen that said 1.6i worked on Vista. Most have posted that they have had a hard time getting 1.8i to work with Vista. So far i have not had to cross that bridge yet. I am trying to hold out for windows 2009 in hopes it will be better than Vista.

I believe Microsoft just announced that they will continue to service XP for 13 years since inception instead of their usual 10. Many companies, mine included, will not convert to Vista because of the problems that have been documented elsewhere. We will wait for the next OS release.

You should be using Encore Viewer.

I've been curious about what Encore Pro might be able to do in a report that Viewer does not. Does it give you exact times of events instead of just having the vague range of time in Viewer? I'm not sure my techie skills could even manage what I understand I'd have to do to acquire it, but I just wondered if I am missing out on data that could be important or if I should be perfectly happy with the Viewer software I purchased.

Thanks!

Peggy

Unlike the viewer, Encore Pro gives you a database, and many more options for printing and storage of XPAP related data. The report pages are the same, can you say COKE Lite. Jim

Why, most people are smart enough to make Encore Pro work, except for some DMEs and their castoffs. Jim

I'm sorry for the misinformation. I actually have version 1.8 not 1.6. I just assumed you meant the latest version. Even with 1.8, I had to work at it to get it going.

The big advantage to Encore Pro is being able to use Encore Pro Analyzer that was written by someone on this forum. It is much nicer to track your treatment with than the regular charts.

Does the doctor give the readers and software or do I buy?

You'll have to purchase your software and card reader. You can get them from cpap.com, and they price match if you find a better deal.

The PLUS, you show listed, collects NO useful data, so for it the software and reader are a waste of time and money. If you get a "M"eries Pro or a APAP, then it's time to get the software. Jim
