Although I don't like that mask, personally, it needs to have the top adjusted so it does NOT hit your nose and the straps so loose that it feels like it will fall off to work. The air pressure lifts it and seals it. Mine works ok on my back but is very hard to get to seal sleeping on my side. The mask should put almost no pressure on the forehead when adjusted properly.

Welcome to the forum.

Have you done the "boil and fit" procedure with your mask? If not, you might want to do so. I've never used that mask, but the instructions that came with it ought to be able to tell you how to do it. Also, when I read things like I have bolded above, I tend to think the user has the strap tension too tight. For the most part, these masks shouldn't "hurt" to wear them. On the other hand, the Respironics Comfortfull 2 mask hurt my chin and leaked no matter how I had it adjusted......three nights worth of pain was all I could take and went back to my UMFF.

Welcome to the forum -- if you haven't found them already, the yellow lightbulb and the red balloon at the top of the pages can provide you a wealth of information!!!!

I use the ComfortGel mask when I'm not using my Headrest......
I like it pretty well, but have ordered a small instead of my long held Medium. Reason is that it seems too long and presses against my upper lip and teeth when it is adjusted to not leak.

Den is absolutely correct -- if it's adjusted correctly it shouldn't hurt your face....I had an issue with the bridge of my nose until I got it adjusted.....I had it way too tight on the upper strap.
The headgear should be fairly loose, believe it or not, as that silicone "thingie" has to inflate to provide the seal. The headgear actually only holds it in place, the inflation should seal it...
As Den suggests you can boil fit your blue piece -- the instructions are in the book that comes with the mask. I never had to do that process as it fit straight away -- I just had to learn not to clamp it down so tight.....

It seems to me to be a good mask once it's fitted properly -- just keep tweaking with it and you'll find the fit.....just try to remember it needs to be as loose as it can be and still maintain the seal.....I'm even a side sleeper and it works ok for me....<<Hint -- when side sleeping I rotate the input valve so the hose goes up towards the top of my head instead of down....>>
OH!!!! To prevent the eye leaks, I press the silicone inwards after it inflates until it stops leaking--
It also requires cleaning often....I clean mine every other day when I'm using it (I have very dry skin -- if yours is oily it'll probably need a soap, vinegar and water bath daily!!! I get vinegar by the gallon... )

Good luck.
cheers

Just make sure you boil and bake ... errr I mean fit, the mask and not your face ... unless you are in it just for the pain.

Seriously though, as others have said, if it hurts, it ain't gonna work ... you either have it adjusted incorrectly or it just isn't made to fit YOU.

Good luck!
