Anybody actually used the BreatheX battery-operated CPAP to give me an idea of how long the battery actually does last with practical experience? Unfortunately, what they advertise and what actually is the case may not be the same, so I'd love to hear from somebody that has actually used one, how long the battery lasts, your likes and dislikes about it, etc.
Thank you!

BreatheX
I do have a BreatheX and it will run at my pressure of 8 for approximately one full night then quits about 2 AM on the second night without a recharge
I hope that helps Peggy. It really is a fun little unit. I love to use it in the car.

And I think to myself...... What a Wonderful World
Thanks, Karen! Sounds like I might have trouble even getting through a whole night with my pressure range then, which has been sitting at 13 and 14 more than anything else lately. Thank you for letting me know how it has worked for you! Just the idea of using for naps in cars is appealing, though. Funny how you get so reliant on the CPAP pressure to sleep comfortably -- I tried a nap in the car a couple weeks ago, and it was pathetic.

BreatheX
I purchased on of the first units off of the production line.
My need is twofold:
1. I take wilderness canoe trips where heavy/large setups cannot be tolerated.
2. I take it on an out of town/country trip for a week or so where my usual cpap is undesireable.
A new battery pack would get me about 1.3 nights of service on a full charge. I bought a second pack and got roughly 3 nights on a weeklong trip.
Since I had been on cpap regularly, my sleep doc so now problem with missing a few nights in that way.
Incidently, my first battery pack died about a month ago. I simply installed the spare. The spares are priced about what you would expect to pay for a laptop battery pack.
The BreatheX was very expensive in the beginning, and there was no easily available litium battery pack for general 12V cpap use.
If I had to deal with this problem for the first time today, I would buy one of the new smaller cpaps that has 12V useability and also one of the 12V small battery packs like the ones on cpap.com. The total cost would be much less than I paid for the BreatheX. If you do not intend to go far from the grid for periods of time and if weight is not an issue, I would buy the small cpap as noted above and a deep cycle marine battery & charger.
