Man I'm confused and need help....

I've been getting a really parched mouth lately and waking up several times at night. So I started using the humidifier and I bought some good 3m surgical tape to tape my mouth shut.

But last night I woke with THE driest mouth I have had in my life. I quickly went to check the tape to see if it was on and IT WAS. My mouth was perfectly sealed and I still had parched mouth.

Anybody know what is going on? Because I don't.

If you couldn't blow through your mouth, and you HH was working maybe it's not turned up high enough. Might try drinking water before bed. Jim

Try using Biotene mouthwash before bed..

I use Boitene mouthwash at bedtime and it sure helps me. It's a little more expensive than other mouth washes but worth it to me! I was having a lot of trouble with dry mouth in the morning, even with taping. Biotene is worth a try.

Try adjusting your humidifier setting upwards. Biotene is NOT "just" a mouthwash. It is a saliva substitute or enhancer for lubricating and moisturizing the oral cavity. I fail to see where "just" a mouthwash would help one iota w/dry mouth.

Biotene is called a "mouthwash". It is a mouthwash with specific ingredients that help moisturize the mouth. Just any mouthwash will not do what is needed - just Biotene. Well, I should say there may be others that moisturize the mouth too. I only know about Biotene since it is what I use for the purpose of helping to moisturize my mouth.
