Full Face Mask
Full Face Mask
I have been using a full face mask, one the covers both the nose and mouth, and find it uncomfortable to wear. I sleep about 7 to 8 hours per night with the mask and have been using it for better than 6 months. I was watching a TV show recently and noticed the scuba divers have good fiting masks with better head gear and wonder why better gear is not avaiable for C-Pap wears. Anyone have any thoughts on this?
SCUBA divers masks are held on by external pressure. They still leak.
They breathe thru their mouthpiece regulator. The air is under pressure to equal the pressure at whatever depth they are at making it seem like zero pressure.
There are good masks out there.
Have you tried the Activa mask ?
Cheers,
Chris

The ResMed Activa is perhaps the finest mask available, IMHO. But it is not a full face mask. Covers the nose only. Mouth breathers and air leakers will need to take some additional measures when using it (ie. chip straps, mouth taping).
