Could this Stop Mouth Breathing?

Post by jdwilson16 » Fri Jun 13, 2008 3:28 pm

It seems chin straps do not work for me since my tongue does not go where it needs to go when relaxed and I can exhale even when I push up my lower lip.

I found this website and wondered if anyone had any experience with the Patakara Lip Trainer. I maybe can see it for helping strengthen muscles in the jaw and mouth, but they also claim that it can cure Sleep Apnea. That is probably a stretch. Anyway, here is the site. What are your thoughts?

Looks ridiculous to me. You could probably get the same effect from chewing gum.

You try it and let us know, 'kay?

Well...hmmmmmmmmmmmm....I think you could just try chewing on a stale bagel and have the same effect....start with 3 day old and add a day for each stage of extra resistance you want.....should have the same effect..... ..dontcha think?

um I think the cartoonist needs to study human anatomy some more to figure out where the tongue gets attached

It actually attaches to the back of the chin not above the adams apple
someday science will catch up to what I'm saying...

I see it cures stroke, Bells palsy, Alzheimers, and Downs Syndrome, too. Someone call the Noble Prize committee.
