I just got my Repironics auto M series bipap machine. It was given to my by the DME provider last week. The machine and all its functions are locked down as 9/12....so not able to adjust biflex or anything on it.
I have read alot about the encore software and reading the cards...it there somewhere I can go and determine what I need and what to do?
also can I override some of these fixed setting to use biflex etc?
Another question is ther software available for the MAC? if not I have access to Vista machine.
Thanks if anyone can give me a direction for me to get started.
New to bpap and interested in software/card reader

Welcome!
cpap.com sells the EncoreViewer software and card reader as a bundle. You need that specific card reader - as far as anyone is aware, other Smartcard readers won't work. Encore Viewer should also be available separately. I've heard that cpap.com will price match.

In addition, you'll want to be able to get into the menu. I'm sure someone else will add in if this info isn't correct. The way I get into my Respironics menu is to flip up the lid, unplug from the back of the unit. Then while holding down the top two buttons (I always forget which are left/right vs up/down), plug the connector back into the back of the machine. When it beeps, the entire setup menu will be accessible.
Be sure to write down the settings as you scroll through or you may have trouble setting things back if they don't work right!
There are lots of posts on this forum about adjusting settings and such. The software does not work with the Mac.
Good luck!
Mindy

If it is an Imac, then in the bootcamp partition, you can install Windows XP (SP2) and a free virus program (Avast) and then you can run the software by rebooting into Windows.

If you do not want to reboot your iMac to run windows, then you have a couple options. Both Parallel and Fusion will run XP (probably Vista but why?) in a window on the Mac. I have not tested this on my iMac, but have read posts that this has been done. I have the ResMed CPAP and also looking to get the software and reader.

mindy, The two-factor appears to be out of stock for the card reader. Do you know of any other place which sells that DT3500 Mako USB cardreader?mindy wrote:Welcome!
