Sleepzone LSO2 LipSeal device

Post by Maddcow » Thu Jun 05, 2008 3:44 pm

This is a new device from SleepZone(the same Aussie company that brought us the "Aussie heated hose").

It apparently stops mouth leaking by using a floating silicon valve which is activated when pressurized air is detected; can also be used as a chin strap; and "the feature that is unique is that the valving allows inhale breath if required or when the cpap is turned off" so it should be completely safe to use.

I'm interested in buying one but would like to know if anybody else has tried one or has some thoughts on this device.

Cheers
Gary

I looked it up on the website. Very interesting. In my opinion it doesn't look comfortable but hey what do I know!!!!

It looks like the strap is pulling straight back and that might cause jaw troubles.

I'll stick with my denture adhesive strips.

Well, at least they're trying. If I'd just seen that picture I'd have thought it was something from early cpap days. Looks hot and uncomfortable. They listened to the consumers on the need for this product's function, just not usability in regards to comfort.

Its not new. It has been around for a while. About a year ago or so, Rooster noted that based on the before and after pictures, the device seemed to cause the user to gain weight and loose hair.
President-pretender, J. Biden, said "the DNC has built the largest voter fraud organization in US history". Too bad they didn’t build the smartest voter fraud organization and got caught.

I ( Georgia Hosehead) bought and tried one. It leaked like crazy when I used it to stop mouth breathing. O.K., I tried it as a chinstrap. Again, it was useless as most chin straps. The best thing I've found for mouth breathing is taping with 3M light adhesion masking tape in 2" wide. Try it, you may like it. The tape ,that is. Don't waste your money on the Sleepzone device.
