BiPAP settings???

Post by Digi » Mon May 19, 2008 6:27 pm

I know the air flow settings are supposed to be a prescription, but does anyone know where I can find info on how to change these?

Thanks...

I have a Respironics BiPAP Plus with an attached humidifier. I've had it since October and I'm at 14/9... My prescription was supposed to be for 15/10 which is what the guy said was needed that did my sleep study. I just would like to raise it a little to be able to sleep on my back.

Hi,

There are plenty of us who can help you make that change. But, is it a tank style BiPap or a M series (am guessing from your description it is the tank style)

The trick to getting into the settings is to power the unit off then power it back on while holding the left & right arrow buttons (3 secs I think )

then u shd be in clinical mode.
Hope that gets u started.

then you use the Ramp up and down buttons to change values, same left and righty button to move to next field then On/Off button to exit.

The M series is different & I don't know the proc for getting into the menu.

It should be the same button seq as any other M series so anyone who has one & can get at the settings should be able to help.

Anyone ? (with a M Series)

Good luck

Search on here - the instructions have been posted many, many times.

Unless you are holding down the wrong buttons, My guess is that you are not holding down the buttons long enuff. Hold them down until it beeps, keep your eye on the LCD.

Good Luck

well there's your problem,

you hold down the <- -> arrow keys simultaneously while plugging in the power on the back waiting for 2 beeps, then hit the (+) plus key you are in Setup, use the arrow keys to advance fields, +/- keys to change values, On/Off key to exit.
