DT3500 Smart Card Drivers for Vista?

Post by TwoWheels » Fri May 16, 2008 7:49 pm

Hi:

I have version 1.7 of EncorePro which works fine on my XP machine, but I'm migrating to a new Vista machine and I can't get the card reader drivers that came with 1.7 to work. I see someone had posted that their version of EncorePro had Vista drivers. Mine does not.

What version(s) of EncorePro support Vista? Is the vista driver for the DT3500 avaiable somewhere? The driver I have does not cause the device to be recoginized. I have tried using compatibility mode and not, and running as administrator and not, but still get "Unknown Device"

Anyone can help?

I think Encore 1.8 supports Vista. The driver is on the Encore CD. Also available on their website.

Encore Viewer 1.0 also supports Vista.

I recently installed 1.8 on Vista. After about 5 false starts, everything could possibly, maybe, perhaps be humming along. I followed dream diver's instructions found on this thread. This made the driver install a breeze.

I upgraded from 1.6 to 1.8 of Encore Pro & it just worked the same as before.

I have a Mako Infineer DT3500 reader.
