This helps a stuffy nose....

Everyone's suggestions have helped me a little. Sleeping with my head proped up on my back sometimes help my stuffy nose. Also, turning off the humidity on my cpap helps a little too. Any other suggestions would be welcomed.

What helped me the most was pur-sleep 'clear'.

That is old news. Brett fixed the problem. I have been using pur-sleep for well over a year with no problems at all. I LOVE this stuff. It makes this whole xpap experience so much more pleasant. I usually use clear and lavender together. It even helped clear the sinuses during a sinus infection. My MD knows I use it and has no problems with it either.

I use netti pot before bed and am on Veramyst and Zyrtec. I went from having to breathe through my mouth to totally without congestion in about a week.

I've always used pulsatile irrigation since getting sinus problems back in 1998. Along with lock ringers saline solution. I haven't used it since the winter when I had a cold but it comes in very handy during the summer when the allergies kick in.

Some saline solutions can impair cilia activity. Locke Ringers contains bicarbonate, potassium, calcium chloride, and salt. Apparently it 'best matches the bodies natural salinity and electrolyte composition'. No, doesn't mean much to me either but I certainly find it better for sinus irrigation than straight saline. There are various commercial locke ringer products available. I use Breathease.

Flonase

I don't normally have congestion problems, but for some reason, my allergies are acting up BIG time this spring season. Neither Claritin D or Zyrtec D is doing much of anything.

Neti pot/NeilMed was working fine for a while... but as my allergies got worse, all it did was relieve some dryness or soreness. That is if I was lucky enough to not be so congested that I couldn't utilize them at all.

I resorted finally to Afrin, hoping that I'd get over the allergies soon, but that hasn't happened, so, for fear of rebound congestion I've stopped the Afrin.

A number of years ago, I went through a particularly strong bout of allergy symptoms like this and the ONLY relief was via Flonase.

Got a prescription for Flonase I'm gonna pick up today. I pray that will work as it did a few years ago.

Otherwise I don't know what I'm going to do.
