Too Hot

My machine is putting out a vapor that is too warm for me. Is there a way to adjust the heat? My instructions says no.

You're not going to get much help unless we know what machine you're using. Please go edit your profile and include your equipment.

I've never heard of a machine in which you can't control the humidifier, which is what I assume you're talking about.

I find the humidifier to be suffocating, even in the winter on its lowest setting. Now that it's warming up, I freeze about 1/4" distilled water in a plastic butter dish and break in into three squares that I place in my humidifier tank right before I go to sleep. The crisp, cool air knocks me right out. I'm using a Remstar c-flex with a full-face mask

Have you been changing your filters regularly. Heat is a symptom of dirty or clogged filters.

Omigosh, Callan, you're a genius! I've been bemoaning the fact that to get moisture I also had to get heat and now you've given me the solution. Tell me, though -- I'm sure the air is cool that way, but how moist is it? Really cool, really moist air would be perfect for me.

Most humidifiers can be used off as a passover. You'll get less humidity, but it'll be cool.

If your integrated one doesn't work, buy a dedicated stand alone passover humidifier.

The ice trick is cool, though (pun intended!).

Regardless, we cannot really give recommendations without a machine type.
