To Snoredog/ EPR and aerophagia

Post by grumpygirl » Thu May 08, 2008 8:37 am

Well Snoredog- I did something I never thought I would do and that is lower my pressure a little. When I had an APAP machine on loan for about 6 weeks my average pressure was around 10.? and never went above 11.0.
My doc would not let me keep the darn APAP machine and now I cannot afford to repurchase one. Anyway, last night I lowered my pressure to 11.6 from 12.0 just to see if my aerophagia would improve even a little bit. I was not holding out much hope but this morning my stats look a bit better than the night before. Down to 2.6 AHI from 5.?. My AI was 0.4 so all in all I don't think for the first night it was too bad. My leak rate fell from .44 to .32 and I do feel some better. I am still a bit tired but not as bad as the day before where I had to take 2 short naps. We'll see how things go for a while before getting too excited. My aerophagia is better but that could be just a fluke(as we all know from past CPAP experience). So thanks for the advice and if you have any more suggestions please pass them along!!!!

no problem, my theory is simple, if things don't go well one way you go the other.
someday science will catch up to what I'm saying...

That's got to be the most succinct technical distillation I have read in a long time!

That line deserves immortality...

Great to see you, Offerocker! Good point... My comment wasn't nearly as succinct as Snoredog's. Sorry about that!

I guess I had better try that again:

Snoredog just put a whole bunch of complicated biomedical considerations in a tiny nutshell... he did real good!!!

I agree!
However, it doesn't always work for me...I'm "going the other way" so frequently, I feel like I'm dodging bullets - can be a dizzy deal!

I thought you were distilling something, sigh.
