Post by cindyh » Tue Apr 29, 2008 12:35 am

Cindy,

No data on the card usually means the Encore software has already downloaded it & after doing so wipes the card.

There are settings that prevent it doing the erase after download.

Beyond that it could be that the flow generator didn't write any new data. But that seems unlikely if the card was accepted by the machine ?.

Good luck

DSM
xPAP and Quattro std mask (plus a pad-a-cheek anti-leak strap)

I am SO not suggesting that you would do this but have to poke fun at myself. I got up this morning, grabbed my card on the way in to my bedroom office to read, 'cause I was excited to see what my first night of APAP looked like, and I got the same message, that there was no data on the card. Now, I just was at the DME yesterday, and they erased the card after printing the report for the sleep doc, and I thought, well, maybe the machine didn't write any new information on that now-erased card. But you know what I'd done? Stuck it in the reader backwards! Took me about four tries of reading the card, taking it out, being disappointed that I wouldn't be able to see my data from the previous night, before deciding, what the hell; I'll try it again. And voila! I swear it's a wonder I can function at my job when I get up at 5:30 every morning! That definitely shows you I wasn't at my peak performance level!

So that probably isn't the answer to your problem, but I'm hoping I'll remember my lesson from this morning the next time I get an error message like that.

Peggy

Easy fix for that - put a paper clip thru the little hole in the card. Then you have a 50/50 chance to get it write, ha.
Need a pic?

OSA manifests it's self in many ways. Card Readers is only one symptom. But hey thanks for sharing, ha.
