ResMed mask type setting for Series 11 S8 Autoscore 11/ H3i

Post by peterl » Thu Apr 24, 2008 6:01 pm

I am checking the settings on my machine. I use a ResMed Mirage Micro (med/Lge). My current setting is mask type: (Standard). There is the option of "Mirage" in the menu. Should this be the correct setting? Or is the standard setting the correct one. Lastly, how does the machines mask setting effect the way it operates. Thanks for any replies.

Read the literature that came w/your Resmed Mirage Micro. The Standard mask setting is the correct setting for it.

The mask setting only affects the reported Leak rate. Again, read your mask literature that came w/it. There is a chart of the allowed vent rate at various set pressure.

Nope, just the leak rate. But the manual and the mask literature can clarify things better than I can. It takes me 3 hefty paragraphs to say what most others can say in 3 sentences. And what is clear in my mind doesn't always come out of my mouth as clearly.
