Happy anniversary to me, . . .

Post by gasp » Sun Apr 13, 2008 11:06 am

All together now:

Happy cpaptalk anniversary to me,
happy cpaptalk anniversary to me,
happy cpaptalk anniversary dear meeeee,
happy cpaptalk anniversary to me : )

Woo hoo - one year being on this fabulous forum.

Image

One year ago I joined the forum. The join date was approximately 2 months before getting my machine. During that time I learned so much. A huge THANK YOU to everyone here who helped me during that time and of course every day since!

If it weren't for forum members, I would have chosen the wrong machine which would have meant that I wouldn't have had access to my numbers, my titration wouldn't have been as successful, my relationship with my DME wouldn't have gone as smoothly, my mask experience in those early days would have been more frustrating, I wouldn't be able to or know how to read my numbers, and much, much more!

THANK YOU!

Congratulations and Happy Anniversary, Gasp!

I was reading the forum for about a month or two before I got my equipment, but then it was almost another two months before I actually joined. (didn't think I had anything to contribute and didn't have any questions......still not sure...... )

Happy cpaptalkday, gasp. Or, as TXKajun said recently: happy breatheday!

Yeah, I know what you mean by that beginner's feeling, Den - all those terms whizzing above your head.

I got here about 3 months before my machine etc., and was loaded for bear when I first met the DME (Much to their chagrin - "Oh Oh...an educated customer"). I only lurked for a couple days before I joined because I had tons of questions after reading....
Another couple months and I'll be a year on the hose.....you as well!!!!

Party hearty.....

take care
cheers

One year celebration

Post by kteague » Sun Apr 13, 2008 2:05 pm

Happy Anniversary! I'll have a piece of cake in your honor. (Thanks!)

Have you gone back to read your early posts just for a reminder of how far you've come? I did that on my first anniversary and had to chuckle - I asked what AHI meant.

Glad you came and stuck around. I'll be getting that piece of cake now.

Kathy.

I took your suggestion and did see how far I've come by looking at my earlier posts. Most important of all, it helped me remember the hope I felt from having the forum. With it I felt that I would be able to tolerate what I then thought of as' intolerable invasive therapy for the rest of my life'.

Thanks Sharon! You posted while I was composing my monster (pardon the pun) reply. You were the first person I PM'd when I first joined the forum, asking how I quote someone in a reply. Thanks for your help then and since.
