how's this for making me compliant?!

Post by girlsaylor » Sat Mar 29, 2008 8:21 am

My oldest granddaughter is visiting right now, and we're having a wonderful time together. This little girl is sooooo sweet. So as to not scare her (so
I thought), when I set up my bipap machine at bedtime the first
night, I explained obstructive sleep apnea to her, as I put it
together. She was very interested, and very attentive on how I set it
up. Bless her heart, she never laughed at me in my mask. Some of you know that we had one of her siblings pass away as an infant, in the room with all the other children.

Now get this - My granddaughter has taken to turning down the bed (she and I are sharing the big king bed for her stay). She's been getting
my equipment out, filling the humidifier chamber, and setting it all
up in the evening, to make sure Grammy can sleep comfortably and
safely. Now how's that for making sure a person uses that machine?!
Gotta love that little girl!

How wonderful. Some children have a very large conpacity for understanding and I think your granddaughter is a peach!

Your granddaughter is way ahead of my adult relatives.

I have a vision that we will figure out an easy way to ensure that children develop wide, deep, healthy and attractive jaws and then obstructive sleep apnea becomes an obscure bit of history.https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0ycw4uaX ... re=related

What a good girl! And you never know, she may grow up to invent the perfect mask, all inspired by you!
