Newbie q's

Hey there everyone.

Recently diagnosed and had 2nd sleep study Friday night. Thanks for information learned here, I demanded my Doc order a machine that had data capabilities.

I decided on the REMstar Pro M Series C-Flex CPAP with integrated Humidifier and the F&P Opus 360 nosepillow.

Now to my questions ...

1. I have gathered from reading about that I will need to buy the Respironics EncoreViewer software as it's not available as a download. Is this correct if I want to monitor my progress?

2. I also saw on ebay someone selling the Provider Manual for the REMstar Pro/Auto so I can learn how to change settings etc. down the road. It's only $6.95. Is it worth it? Is this something available here or online for download? I have not found anything by searching.

Thanks for your help. I'm sure I'll be back with more questions once my machine gets delivered. I'm hoping to have it the beginning of next week.

Thanks!

Tom

Hello & Welcome, Tom! Glad you found this forum!

Yes, you do need the software and a card reader. No, don't buy the manual. Instructions to change your machine settings are available here on the forum. I don't have your model, but I'm sure someone will chime in here with the directions to access the setup screen.

You will need the viewer software and a card reader. There are other posts on here where they tell you where to get the software & card reader. Cpap.com will price match it which is great. Search for card reader to find it.

There are people on this site who have the manuals that you are needing to work your machine and they will e-mail them to you for free. Just make a new post saying - Looking for technician manual for..... (your machine) then PM them and give them your e-mail addresss.

Hope this helps and good luck!

Yes! you will need that or a copy of Encore Pro, the real program. Also the card reader.

No! that's just a rip off, help can be gotten for the people here for free.

You will need the manuel for the machine you get, the Pro "M" it's not a APAP
