Hello,

My local DME Continued Care of Long Isalnd (the greatest DME I have ever heard of) has a great RT who is now an AWAKE cooridiantor and is starting a support group on Long Island.
If you live in NYC/LI PLEASE come out for the meeting

Huntington Library :
338 Main street
Huntington NY 11743 631 427-5165
Date: April17th (thurs)
Time: 7:45 PM

Long Island Awake Group
This is a support group
designed to assist patients, spouses and potential patients who
are living with sleep apnea. We will be in a casual setting to share our stories and help each other in our journey or sleep.
There will be resources available to help enhance your knowledge and comfort with this growing
population. We encourage you to bring your machine and mask ……...

Where is your DME?

My DME is down in VA (since my family is there) and the RT that gave me my CPAP was great, but it is a far drive! I'm over in Little Neck, so it would be easier to have a great DME up here!

differentdave, can you tell me the name of the RT you think so highly of. My sister may be going for a sleep study and, assuming she has sleep apnea, I want to make sure she goes to a DME who will help her get an APAP and also do a decent job of getting her a good mask. Is the Continued Care of LI office you went to in Farmingdale?
