Question for Quattro and UMFF users.

Post by sososleepy » Thu Mar 13, 2008 11:58 am

For those of you who have tried or own both Quattro and UMFF masks.
Are the sizes the same? If i take a med Quattro would i also take a med UMFF? Why do you prefer one above the other? Thanks, Sososleepy

It depends.....

Go to CPAP.COM's mask-sizing guide and choose #5.
From my experience with both, the Quattro runs just a little bit larger than the UMFF. The sizing guide is important in that you determine the distance between the "eye-line" and the chin area. If your measurement falls halfway in between the sizes, go for the larger size when choosing the UMFF......and maybe the smaller size on the Quattro.
That was my experience when selecting the UMFF three years ago. I went with the next size larger (UMFF in Large) and was glad I did. The Large Quattro still fits, but I can tell it's a bit longer.

My DME RT told me I needed a medium size Quattro since I wear a medium Mirage Ultra FFM. The fit is good. To me, though, the Quattro seems a little bit smaller, a little less nose room.
